Why I’m Running to Represent Minnesota’s 3rd District

Minnesota has always been home to big hearts and common sense. We’re known for being “Minnesota nice,” but that’s more than just a slogan—it’s a way of life. It means we show up for our neighbors, even when we don’t agree on everything. It means we listen first, speak with respect, and work hard to do what’s right. That spirit is what I want to bring with me to Washington as your representative for Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional District.

I’m running as a compassionate conservative Republican. My faith shapes the way I see public service: leaders are called to a kind of “ministry of reconciliation”—bringing people together instead of driving them apart. A representative doesn’t just serve those who think, vote, or look like them. A representative serves everyone in the district. We are a diverse people in thought, background, and experience, and our government should reflect that reality with humility and care.

I believe in responsible government, not bloated government. For too long, Democrats in Minnesota and in Washington have embraced a “tax and spend” mindset that grows bureaucracy but doesn’t always deliver better results. At the same time, I do not believe in simply slashing programs that truly help people. My goal is to trim the fat, not cut the lifelines. If a program is helping families get back on their feet, supporting kids in crisis, or giving people a second chance, I want to protect it—and, where it’s working, strengthen it.

That’s why my campaign will be both pro-accountability and pro-compassion. I am unapologetically pro-police and pro–first responder. The men and women who put on the uniform to protect our communities deserve our respect, our support, and the resources to do their jobs well. I am also strongly pro-education and pro–school choice. Parents know their children best, and they should have the freedom to choose the educational environment that fits their family—whether that’s public, private, charter, or homeschool—while ensuring our public schools are strong and effective for those who rely on them.

At the same time, we can’t ignore those who are too often forgotten in political debates: people experiencing homelessness, orphans and kids in foster care, victims of trafficking, those battling addiction, and men and women trying to rebuild their lives after prison. A just society doesn’t walk past those who are hurting. I want to support policies that focus on rehabilitation, recovery, and restoration, not just punishment or paperwork. We can be tough on crime and still be tender toward those earnestly seeking a new path.

I also care deeply about the future of our land and resources. Minnesota farmers and workers deserve a voice that understands both stewardship and opportunity. I support organic and clean agriculture, and I believe in responsible, forward-looking energy policies that keep our air and water clean without destroying jobs or driving families into deeper financial hardship. We don’t have to choose between caring for creation and caring for our economy—we can and must do both.

Ultimately, my campaign is about bringing people together again. The extremes on the right and the left get most of the attention, but most Minnesotans just want safe neighborhoods, good schools, a strong economy, and a government that respects both their freedoms and their dignity. I want to be a voice in Congress that reflects the best of who we are: principled but kind, fiscally responsible but compassionate, firm in our values but always willing to listen.

If you’re tired of being told you have to choose between caring for people and caring about budgets, between supporting police and supporting communities in need, between faith and public life—I’m running for you. Let’s show the country what it looks like when Minnesotans come together again, not as enemies, but as neighbors.

Minnesotans deserve leadership that values both fiscal responsibility and human dignity. I am running to represent Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional District because I believe in smart, effective governance—not endless taxation and reckless spending. While the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) continues to mismanage resources and overburden working families, I stand for real solutions that strengthen our communities, protect our freedoms, and empower the people.

Supporting First Responders – Ensuring law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs have the resources they need to protect and serve.

Pro-Education & School Choice – Investing in schools while giving parents control over their children’s education.

Compassionate, Not Wasteful – Keeping vital social programs running efficiently to uplift the vulnerable—homeless, orphans, foster children, trafficking victims, drug addicts, and those in need of rehabilitation.

Smart Spending, Not "Tax & Spend" Policies – Cutting bureaucratic waste while prioritizing funding for programs that actually work.

Energy & Agriculture for the Future – Advocating for organic and clean agriculture and responsible energy that balances environmental care with economic growth.

Public Safety & Stronger Communities – A law-and-order approach that ensures Minnesota remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.

Reconciliation Over Division: Governing should not be about ideological warfare but about serving the people with integrity, wisdom, and compassion. This is how we restore trust in leadership.

True Representation: As a Representative, my job isn’t just to fight for those who agree with me—it’s to listen, engage, and advocate for the entire district, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Bridging the Divide: Instead of playing into polarization, our campaign will seek common ground to bring about solutions that work for everyone, whether they lean left, right, or center.

The Spirit of 'Minnesota Nice': Respect, kindness, and practical problem-solving should be the heart of politics, just as they are in everyday Minnesota life.

The people of Minnesota deserve leadership that listens—leadership that puts solutions over slogans and principles over politics. Let's bring common sense back to government and build a future where Minnesotans can thrive.
